IWSSS 2013 Workshop Details
About IWSSS 2013
IWSSS 2013 intends to
foster the discussion on systems security and safety related issues, in
particular focusing on problems related to automotive, passenger and
goods protection. This workshop is interdisciplinary and concentrates
valuable knowledge from various fields of automatic control, computers
and electronics.
The topics of interest include but are not limited to intelligent
sensors, wireless sensor networks, data communication systems,
telemetry, image acquisition, software systems, algorithms,
cloud-computing solutions used in order to solve issues related to
systems safety and security.
Our intention is to bring together practitioners and implementers from
industry, prestigious researches from academia and young scientists and
specialists. Our aim is to create an event to promote scientific
research in this challenging field of systems safety and security and
to let academia and industry make a strong partnership in order to
develop new products and technologies.
Workshop Topics
- Systems security & safety with applications in automotive industry;
- Intelligent sensors applied in safety and security solutions;
- Wireless sensor networks security;
- Signal processing and data acquisition;
- Artificial intelligence used in the field of safety and security;
- Automotive tracking, monitoring and surveillance solutions;
- Cloud solutions for automotive tracking and monitoring;
- The “carblackbox” concept (in-car surveillance solutions).

Authors information
Paper submission
Prospective authors are
invited to submit full papers electronically using EasyChair system.
Papers submitted for presentation should contain original research, not
published or being considered for publication elsewhere. All materials
must be written in English.
The papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the
International Scientific Committee. The corresponding author of each
paper will be notified of the result by e-mail.If the paper is
accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the workshop and
present the paper.
All
accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which
will be indexed in IEEE Xplore database.
The participants must prepare the full version of their paper following
IEEE Conference Submission Standards. For details, templates and
support please visit this link. Maximum six pages A4 in
double column format are allowed. Authors may upload longer manuscript
up to a maximum of eight pages total. However, each page in excess of
six will incur a charge of 50 Euros.
As a part of the procedure, authors of accepted papers must send us a signed Copyright Form for each paper. Missing this document may lead to paper unpublishing.
Workshop fees
- Early registrations (before July 31st 2013) fee: 250 Euro (200 Euro for IEEE Members);
- Late registrations fee: 300 Euro (250 Euro for IEEE Members);
- Early student registration (before July 31st, 2013) fee: 150 Euro;
